Osteria Papazzo is celebrating its 1st birthday with a Neapolitan party on King Street

If there's one thing Osteria Papazzo knows how to do, it's bring people together over good food and wine. And this November, owner and chef Alessandra Papazzo is inviting Newcastle to join her for a very special birthday celebration.

On Wednesday, November 11, Osteria Papazzo will celebrate 34 years of Alessandra's cooking, 11 years of Osteria Papazzo and one year in its permanent home at 179 King Street, with an authentic Neapolitan street food party.

Kicking off from 4.30pm, the celebration will be a relaxed, come-as-you-are affair, with guests invited to eat, drink, mingle and dance the evening away.

Expect plenty of authentic Neapolitan street food, celebrating the flavours of Alessandra's hometown, alongside a carefully curated selection of wines.

Behind the bar will be two of Alessandra's favourite wine personalities, Mattia Dicati from Vino Mito and Giorgio De Maria from Giorgio De Maria Fun Wines, bringing their passion for wine to the festivities.

Keeping the celebrations going will be Newcastle DJ Bon Binary, aka Bonnie Anne, whose genre-spanning sets move between disco, funk, house, pop and nostalgic favourites.

More than just a birthday party, the evening is Alessandra's way of thanking the community that has supported her cooking and Osteria Papazzo over the years.

No reservations are required, so simply turn up from 4.30pm, grab something to eat and raise a glass to Osteria Papazzo.
