Bernie’s goes emo for a huge Halloween weekend

Dust off the eyeliner and dig out your darkest outfit – Bernie’s Bar is giving Halloween its signature drag-fuelled treatment with two nights of parties, DJs and spooky-season chaos.

Across Friday, 30 and Saturday, 31 October, Bernie’s Bar will celebrate Halloweekend with an Emo Night Halloween Edition followed by a huge Monster Mash Laneway Party.

Kicking things off on Friday is Halloween – Emo Edition, with DJs Vandoll and Kittamine spinning the soundtrack to your darkest self from 7pm.

Trixxie Killer will bring the horror drag to the stage, while bloodbag cocktails and Bernie’s annual Halloween shots menu will keep the spooky theme going behind the bar. Better yet, Friday night is free entry all night.

Then on Saturday, the party spills outside for the Monster Mash Laneway Party.

Bernie’s laneway will be taken over by drag performances from Deirdre Doo, Karma Gettem and Sticky Waffles, with DJs Queerio and Tiff keeping things moving throughout the night.

Expect an outdoor stage, plenty of Halloween theatrics and the kind of colourful late-night chaos Bernie’s has become known for.

Saturday's laneway party is $20 entry, with both nights kicking off at 7pm and running late.
