Diwali lights up Foreshore Park this Saturday

Foreshore Park will come alive this Saturday for UNIPAC Mega Diwali Festival, bringing one of Newcastle’s biggest multicultural celebrations to the harbour foreshore.

On Saturday, 31 October, the free Festival of Lights celebration will feature drone shows, fireworks, multicultural performances, food stalls and plenty more from 2pm to 10pm.

Presented by the United India Newcastle Partnership Association (UNIPAC), the festival is designed as a welcoming community celebration for anyone keen to experience Diwali, whether it’s your first time or a long-held tradition.

Across the afternoon and evening, expect live multicultural performances, plenty of food, and a program that builds towards drone shows and fireworks after dark.

The event is free to attend, but registration is essential.
