Susuru and The Del team up for a limited ramen

Two Newcastle favourites have joined forces for spring, with Susuru and The Del combining their signature flavours in one limited-edition ramen.

Available for a limited time, the Roast Chick Ramen brings together the bold Japanese flavours of Susuru with the rotisserie flavours of Darby Street favourite The Del.

Susuru x The Del

Priced at $25, the collaboration takes the familiar comfort of a bowl of Susuru ramen and gives it a distinctly Del twist.

It’s a fitting collaboration for two Newcastle venues that have both entered new eras in recent years.

Susuru transformed its King Street restaurant into an izakaya-style dining space in 2025, expanding beyond the ramen and gyoza it built its name on to introduce Japanese sharing plates, sushi, bao, sashimi and a much bigger drinks offering.

Susuru x The Del

Over on Darby Street, The Del also emerged from a major renovation in 2025 with a fresh look and a food offering built around share plates, pub favourites and plenty of charred, grilled and rotisserie-style flavours.

Now, the two kitchens have come together for the Roast Chick Ramen, bringing a little of each venue into the bowl.

To complete the collaboration, pair it with a Del XPA for the full Newcastle-meets-Japan spring combo.

If you're a regular at either venue – or simply take your ramen seriously – get in while you can.
