Coming together for 'Under the Stars' in the magnificent Sand Dunes on Worimi Country.
The much-loved Murrook Festival returns on Saturday, November 14, 2026, inviting the community to gather on Worimi Country for an evening celebrating culture, connection, and community.
Hosted by the Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council, this year’s festival will once again transform the Sand Dunes in Williamtown with music, dance, storytelling, food, activities, and fireworks.
The 2026 theme, MIRRIIYNDJA DALIGA “Under the Stars”, invites people of all ages to come together for a relaxed evening of sharing stories, experiences, and time together on Country.

Running from 5pm to 9pm, the free, family-friendly festival will bring the community together beneath the night sky, with plenty of opportunities to sit back and enjoy the entertainment or get involved in activities throughout the evening.
For Worimi Local Aboriginal Land Council Chairperson Leigh Ridgeway, the festival is about creating a welcoming space where everyone can connect.

The program also features food trucks, a spectacular light show, and fireworks to close the evening.
“We’re inviting everyone to leave that behind and join us, not as strangers, but as friends,” Leigh said.
“We want everyone to feel the warmth of community and our fires, unlock our connection to one another and remember that we’re all just people weathering the same storm together.”
