Important Update: Crafted Festival Newcastle 2026

A NOTE FROM THE ORGANISOR

A MESSAGE TO OUR NEWCASTLE COMMUNITY

We’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel Crafted Festival Newcastle, scheduled for Saturday November 7.

We want to be completely honest about why.

Despite the incredible support Newcastle has shown us over the years, ticket sales for this year's event simply haven't reached the level needed to make the festival viable.

As a small business, this is not a decision we've taken lightly. We know how much time, money and effort goes into an event like Crafted, particularly for the independent breweries, food vendors, musicians and suppliers who travel significant distances to be part of it.

Rather than push ahead and risk putting those businesses and people in a difficult position, we believe making this decision now is the fairest and most responsible thing to do.

Everyone who has purchased a ticket will be contacted and receive a refund within seven days.

To the Newcastle community, thank you. You've welcomed Crafted with open arms, and we're genuinely grateful for the support, enthusiasm and memories we've shared.

This isn't goodbye. Our Melbourne festival on November 21 will still go ahead as planned, with ticket sales tracking more strongly.

We're incredibly sorry to disappoint those who were looking forward to joining us on the Foreshore, and we thank every exhibitor, vendor, artist, partner and ticket holder who has supported us.

Crafted Beer Festival 2026

On Saturday, 7 November, Crafted Festival will take over Camp Shortland for its third Newcastle edition, bringing together craft breweries, live music, BBQ favourites and plenty of festival entertainment.

Now, let’s talk beer

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, Crafted Festival is going bigger than ever, with events across Newcastle, the Gold Coast and, for the first time, Melbourne.

For Newcastle beer lovers, that means another opportunity to work through a huge selection of craft brews, from crisp lagers and hazy pale ales to bold, hop-forward beers, darker drops and limited releases.

The flavour goes beyond the taps

Returning after its debut last year is Crafted Smokeshow, bringing a full day of BBQ cooking demonstrations, eating competitions and plenty of smoky flavours.

Expect everything from slow-roasted meats and open-fire cooking to juicy brisket, wings and stacked burgers.

Across the wider festival, food vendors include The Burger Head, Beach Jerky, Flamin' Grillas, G-Free Donuts, Happy as Larry, Smokin Swine BBQ, Wagyu Blacks and Veronton Dumpling Food Truck.

Eats & drinks to fuel the day

Beyond the food and drinks, Crafted is bringing back a few crowd favourites, including Beer Yoga, the Master of Puppets Challenge and Ping Pong Competition.

New for 2026 is line dancing, inviting festival-goers to dust off their boots and give it a go, no experience necessary.

The soundtrack?

Taking the headline spot this year is The VANNS, bringing their signature indie-rock sound to the Newcastle Foreshore.

They'll be joined by Large Mirage, Phil & The Blanks, Cheap-Skate, LavJav, and Rhodes, providing the soundtrack for a full day by the harbour.
