Newcastle East brings wine country to the city
Newcastle East is bringing the cellar door to the city this November, with City Cellar Door taking over the precinct for one afternoon only.
On Saturday, 21 November, City Cellar Door will bring seven wineries to seven Newcastle East venues for an afternoon of tastings, food, olive oil, and local flavour.
Brought to you by Newcastle East 2300 Precinct, City Cellar Door is a brand-new wine tasting trail designed to bring the cellar door experience out of wine country and into the heart of the city.
From 1pm to 5pm, guests can wander through Newcastle East and discover wines from Margan, Charteris, Mercer, Vinden, De Iuliis, Swinging Bridge, and Byrne Farm.
The trail will take place across seven Newcastle East venues, including Humbug, Ship Inn, Customs House, Bartholomews, The Great Northern, The Grain Store, and The Grand.
Tickets include wine tastings along the trail, a $30 food voucher to use at your choice of participating venue, a Pukara Estate olive oil tasting, and a $10 Pukara Estate voucher to spend on the day.
There will also be a special Mercer Wines and East End Ice Creamery pairing at The Grain Store, bringing together wine and award-winning local ice cream.
Gather your friends, choose your route, and spend the afternoon sipping, strolling, and discovering Newcastle East one glass at a time.
