On the corner of Hunter and Brown Streets, Momo Wholefood serves up nourishing food in one of Newcastle’s most inviting cafe spaces. 

Housed in a beautiful former bank, the cafe's high ceilings, towering windows, and flourishing greenery make it an easy spot to settle into. Whether you’re catching up with friends over breakfast, or having a quiet lunch, there's plenty of reasons to linger. 

In the kitchen, the team makes everything from scratch, with a vegetarian menu featuring plenty of vegan options. Fresh organic produce arrives from local growers each week, inspiring the specials and bringing seasonal variety to the menu.

Start your morning with fig and tahini granola or eggs on sourdough. For lunch, take your pick from veggie momos, shroom toast, and colourful bowls, with sweet and savoury treats also on offer. Coffee comes courtesy of Unison Coffee Roasters, with Momo chai and fruit smoothies also on the menu.

The care extends beyond the menu, too. Working with like minded businesses, groups and individuals, the Momo team continues to find ways to reduce its environmental impact, with sustainability an ongoing focus.
